The repair process on an auto after a collision
can entail a number of services:
Body Work – Our highly trained and certified
technicians and welders will repair or replace the
damaged parts of your vehicle using the latest
technology and advanced hand tools with skillful
precision – right down to the trim! Even minor
damage, such as dents, will be skillfully treated
using PDR, Paintless Dent Repair.
Body work includes metals and plastics, interior
and exterior parts and coatings and seams. Our
knowledgeable technicians are the key to
providing you with the highest quality repairs for
your damaged vehicle.
Structural – We use a computerized measuring
system – Genesis 2 – to accurately detect and
identify any structural damage that may have
occurred as a result of collision damage. And we
don’t do this just once, but several times during the
repair process to guarantee accuracy. This often
results in specifications that are better than when
your auto came from the factory!
Mechanical – An auto’s many systems may be
affected after an accident. Anything from the seat
belts to air bags, to the drive train or the heating
and cooling system will need to be checked. We use
computers to help us receive an accurate diagnoses
of where any problem may be found. Sometimes a
system may need to be removed to repair an
affected area of the vehicle. In that case, thorough
testing must be done to ensure any equipment has
been put back in proper working condition.
Glass – Glass replacement or repair is a very
important part of any collision damage. Our expert
technicians will carefully and thoroughly check for
damaged glass and will make sure a quality repair or
replacement is made for any glass repair needs.
Paintless Dent Repair – or PDR, is a process in which
dents in your auto can be ‘pushed out’ using special
tools by skilled technicians. With this technique the
area does not need to be repainted, saving time and
money. Although some dents cannot be fixed by this
process, as when the paint is cracked or it is in an
area that is difficult to treat, PDR is usually the
choice for repairing most extremely minor dents, i.e.
parking lot dings.
Paint and Refinishing – We at Collision & Classics are
so proud of our painting and refinishing process that
we have dedicated an entire page to explain how it
works. Please click here to read more!
Auto repair services that are needed may depend on
many factors, but an important one is the area of the
auto that has been damaged. Front end repair is
generally more expensive because many more parts
are involved. Side collisions can involve doors which
often take more time as they have to be adjusted
precisely to open and close smoothly. And there
could be hidden structural damage from any collision
event.
Whether your collision damaged auto needs body
work, structural repair or any other service, be
assured Collision & Classics highly trained and
certified technicians will work diligently to restore
your vehicle to its pre-collision condition. And a
warranty is provided with all our auto repairs!
